Entry criteria applies to all our courses as they are Government funded. Youth Guarantee courses focus on academic achievement and completion of a qualification. YG courses are free for 16-17 year olds. If you were with Matapuna in 2011 on Youth Training, you can return in 2012 if you are 18 or 19 years to join Youth Guarantee. You can apply for Student Allowance (no access to Student Loans) under Youth Guarantee if you are 18 years and meet Studylink criteria. If you were 18 and on Youth Training in 2011 with Matapuna, you can remain on your current benefit.
Kick Start and Training for Work are free MSD/WINZ programmes for 18 years and over based around computing and employment skills. You need a referral from Work and Income.
NAIL is our whanau literacy course. There is no criteria and it is open to anyone who wants help with literacy and numeracy.
